Importing your Public Key

If you need to send a message that is encrypted then a public key is mandatory.

Now navigate to the recently saved Public Key and open the Key using the Notepad.
Copy the entire Public Key from ‘—–BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK—–‘ to ‘—–END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK—’ like the picture below.
Make a right-click on the Gpg4win Kleopatra icon on the taskbar and Clipboard-> Certificate Import.
Once it is successful you will get a pop-up window.
Now check the imported key, Under the ‘Other Certificates‘ tab.

Importing your Private Key

Under the File Menu, Click on Import Certificates.
Browse to the location where the secret key (Private Key) is stored.
Click on the Open button to start the import.

Tap on ‘My Certificates‘ tab to see the key information.

In the Text editor, Type you message and copy it.
In the taskbar, right click on Kleopatra Clipboard -> Encrypt the message.

On the ‘Other Certificates’ tab, Select who you want to send the message to, then click ‘OK’.
You should be back to the previous window with the recipient listed. Click ‘Next’
